ELA 2.0 Feature Requests

Now that the development cycle for Proxy/ISA Log Analyzer is finally rounding out... The rumblings of Exchange Log Analyzer 2.0 have begun.

Here is what we have planned:

  • Adding a recipient usage scan.
  • Adding pie charts.
  • Ability to toggle charts from bar to pie.
  • Updating the report to a easier to use format (Much like PLA3).
  • Minor GUI interface changes to improve usability.
  • Possible internal changes to increase performance. (Technical info below )

Proxy / ISA Log Analyzer 3.0 Final Version Released

After a long beta period Proxy/ISA Log Analyzer 3.0 Final Version is available for download!

If you have purchased PLA in the past 6 months then you are entitled for a free upgrade. This differs from my previous post of 3 months so please take note.

Currently only the 30 day trial is available for download however I will be finishing up the full version for purchase/upgrade in the next day or so.

I will be updating the purchase page to reflect 3.0 purchase options in the next day or so as well.

I appreciate everyone's help and support of PLA.

Website problems

The Mechanical Minds website experienced major problems beginning Sunday night (July 13) up until Monday night (July 14). This was due to an upgrade (mySQL and PHP) of our servers.

I think most problems have now been resolved.

Let us know if you run into any issues and we apologize for any inconvenience this caused.

PLA 3.0 RC4 Released

I have just finished uploading PLA RC4.

Here are some links of interest

This version has all known reported bugs taken care of and will expire on July 31, 2008. It also includes an almost complete help file. There should be no major differences (of the application) between RC4 and the final version.

PLA 3.0 will most likely be licensed per server scanned. The final cost has yet to be determined.

PLA 3.0 RC3 Released

PLA 3.0 RC3 is finally available for download.

This beta expires at the end of May but hopefully 3.0 final will be out before then.

The following list is the only outstanding issues that I know:

  • Report Options don't accurately represent the options you have enabled.
  • Restore the link on the Most Requested Domains report. Thanks Tony
  • Update the help file.
  • Package the final product in an installable file.
  • Minor component upgrades.

The latest PLA 3.0 beta has expired. We will release a new beta either tonight or sometime over the next few days.

Also, now that we are bringing our new site online we will be able to concentrate our efforts on getting PLA 3.0 final released.
